"Wind River is the third part in actor-turned-screenwriter Taylor Sheridan’s “modern frontier trilogy” (after Sicario and Hell And High Water) and Sheridan’s first film as director. It’s an American thriller that will certainly appeal to fans of Scandinavian noir."
★★★★
-Geofrey Macnab, Independent

"Wind River is a smart and very satisfying movie."
★★★★
-Peter Bradshaw, Guardian

"In its marriage of man and landscape, Sheridan’s film is like an Anthony Mann Western remade. It’s a Naked Spur gone snowy; a Far Country gone far, feral and scenically tremendous."
★★★★
-Nigel Andrews, Financial Times

"You learn to look for tracks and clues; it’s a film that makes you a better viewer."
★★★★
- Joshua Rothkopf, Time Out

"Wind River confirms the director as a rising talent who can be trusted to beat his own enticing path through inhospitable ground."
★★★★
-Robbie Collin, The Telegraph

"A curious but ultimately humane story of brutality and grief on a vast Native American reserve in Wyoming."
★★★★
-Ed Potton, Times

"The film offers lots more than twists and red herrings. The dialogue is beautifully underwritten, the soundtrack is moody, cinematography stunning and the casting is faultless."
★★★★
-Andy Lea, Daily Express

"Leading man Jeremy Renner is as rugged as the scenery in this absorbing thriller."
★★★★
-Brian Viner, The Daily Mail

"Sheridan directs as well as writes for the first time, and delivers a superb thriller with a powerful chill that gets in your bones. Smart, tense and soulful."
★★★★
-Matt Glasby, Total Film
